Heather Morris hangs up the phone with her father. An ordinary girl on an ordinary day, as Konami
describes. She is going to the mall to pick up some things...but just then, it happens.
The world changes into a dream...a
nightmare...from which Heather cannot escape. She finds herself in Lakeside Amusement Park. She wanders over by the roller
coaster tracks...an empty car races toward her...just as it would hit...
Heather wakes up. She is sitting at a table
in a restaurant. Was it all just a dream? How did she get here and where did everyone go? A nosy detective named Douglas keeps
rambling on about her past...Heather ditches him out of a bathroom window. While running from a horrific monster, she runs
into Claudia, a strange woman who also has something to say about Heather and her past. But Claudia is different...she seems
to think there is something about Heather that the town has been waiting for...but all Heather wants to do is go home.
A first with the Silent Hill series, Heather's adventure starts in a mall, but contrary to popular
belief, the programmers insist that it is not in Silent Hill. Heather must make her way to Silent Hill, which is part of the
adventure. It will take us to sewers and the amusement park among other disturbing areas. Konami also says that they will
be returning to Silent Hill's roots with this story, in that it focuses more on the cult of Samael as opposed to Silent Hill
2, which focused more on James and his story.
Those fortunate enough to have played a demo or were present for special screenings/previews, they
have all raved about how much more disturbing the images are. Konami confirms that there will be much more blood this time
and apparently the town won't be shrouded in fog, but eternal darkness. The walls have been known to pulsate and bleed as
if made of flesh. The town is alive this time...
Silent Hill 3 promises to be the creepiest, best adventure yet - I can't wait!
